📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Locked In. It’s time to buy some season tickets Shocker basketball fans because both Wichita State men’s and women’s basketball schedules have been finalized with AAC dates. Each schedule is complete with dates and locations for each matchup while times and TV information is still to come.

🔼 First of the Fall. The first Shocker baseball dinger of the fall has officially been hit. Junior Ryan Callahan blasted a homer run over the right field fence with some impressive stats, including an exit velocity of 104mph. Trust that there will be more where that came from later this season.

🔼 The Roundhouse Podcast. Shocker baseball head coach Brian Green kicks off the fall baseball series as he talks about his coaching mentors, some of the new additions and which veterans are helping those newcomers get acclimated to the team.

🔼 Big Time Runs. In the second game of the fall, Shocker softball posted double-digit runs en route to a 12-3 victory over Seminole State. After two innings, the Shockers were up by nine runs after a CC Wong home run, Taylor Sedlacek three-run double and finally, a Bailey Urban three-run moon shot. Safe to say the fall has treated the team well thus far.

The Shockers’ double header against Kansas gave the Shockers a good test for the first time this fall. Both CC Wong and Sydney Zenon drove in runs across both contests, but Shocker softball fell just short in both scrimmages on the day.

🤔 SHOCKER TRIVIA

Double Digits. Shocker softball is off to a hot start this fall after putting up double digit runs in their first two games of the fall. After last season, it shouldn’t be a surprise.

Our question today — do you know how many times Shocker softball put up double-digit runs in a game?

🌾 ONE BIG THING

For the fifth time in as many tries Shocker volleyball came away with a win, sweeping the competition in straight sets.

The second win of AAC play came against Charlotte as the Shockers held them to a -.022 hitting percentage, the first time Wichita State volleyball has held an opponent to a hitting percentage below .000 in seven years. The win was a full on team effort as the Shockers accumulated 20 more kills, 24 more points, 16 more assists and 12 fewer errors than their opponents.

Next up, the Black and Gold will face off against SMU twice next weekend down in Dallas.
