🔼 Strong Finish. Shocker women’s golf finished up its second tournament of the season at the Coeur d’Alene Collegiate Invitational, and after the team put together an impressive 3-over par final round, finished in a tie for tenth.

Mackenzie Wilson finished the tournament as the low Shocker at even-par in a tie for seventh overall. Kate Tilma also finished top 20 in the field after shooting 4-over par across the three rounds.

🔼 Winning Formula. Thanks in large part to the team’s defense, Shocker volleyball enjoyed its fifth-straight win of the season after sweeping AAC opponent, Charlotte. Entering the match, the defense ranked No. 21 in the nation in their opponents’ attack percentage, holding them to just .151 on the season. The level of defense the Shockers are playing at has opened up the offense to complement a balanced style of play - one that is producing wins.

🗣️ "We've brought in a lot of good talent and that's raised the competition in our gym. Everyone has brought more firepower this year. We've stepped it up." - Middle blocker Natalie Foster

🔼 Garage Sale. It’s time to revamp your collection of Shockers gear this fall! Wichita State Athletics is holding its annual garage sale this Saturday at the Aetna Multi-Purpose Facility this Saturday from 8am - 11am. Items will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and the items range from jerseys and bags to Gatorade coolers and equipment.

🤔 SHOCKER TRIVIA

Going on the Offensive. Shocker volleyball has clearly given opposing teams trouble handling the ball, but the Shockers themselves have excelled in that area of the game, holding a full .086 hitting percentage better than its opponents.
