🌾 ONE BIG THING

Following a 2-1 showing at the Kennesaw State Invitational over the weekend, Wichita State returns to action with an in-state battle with No. 13 Kansas today at 6:30 p.m. The Shockers are searching for their first win against ranked opposition since 2017 later today after last defeating eighth-ranked Creighton on September 15, 2017. Wichita State finished 2-1 at the Kennesaw State Invitational, defeating host Kennesaw State on Friday and Saturday, sandwiched around a five-set loss to Indiana. Kansas comes into the match undefeated (3-0) after besting South Carolina, Duke and Colgate, losing just one set in the process.

🔼 Fall Slate. With Wichita State women’s tennis set to begin its season later this month, head coach Colin Foster officially announced the team’s schedule for the fall season. The Shockers will open the fall on September 20 where the Shocker netters will play a round-robin of opponents at Kansas State. At the same time, returning sophomore Xin Tong Wang will participate in the ITA All-American Championships, which begins on September 21st.

🔼 Letter From The AD. Wichita State Athletic Director Kevin Saal penned a letter to Shocker Nation that touches on topics such as last year’s high points, hosting conference championships, student-athlete retention and much more.
